I have been trying to install the object enabler for Plant 3D for my LT copy, but in the install window the enabler says that it cannot find any installed Autodesk products. Any Suggestions? We are using Plant 3D and LT We Xref the model only select users get access to the model into LT, but when I try to bind the xref, I get an error message “At least one of the specified xrefs failed to bind due to a problem with a proxy object.

Is this an enabler issue or something else? I realize that out of the box, you cannot utilize the object enabler. What I was looking for was a work around for the binding issue. Thanks for your feedback. We had to do the “Two” drawing work around for some of the drawings, because we needed to edit the drawings outside of Plant3D, and not affect the model. For the issue of binding, we have decided to bind the drawings using the Plant3D software.

If you need to modify civil 3D objects and don’t have civil 3D you may need to download DWG TrueView and install it and the Object Enablers and covert the drawing to autocad using the solution here.

This will explode all Civil 3D objects and you will not be able to turn them back into Civil 3D object after doing this so you need to be sure that is what you want to do.
